![]() It does this automatically for whatever font in the CSS file is labelled GameFont, which is why you can put "GameFont" into Yanfly's plugin and it shows up even though nobody has any actual font called GameFont installed on their machine.īut it just doesn't do it for any other items that you define in the CSS file.įunny thing is, you shouldn't even need the CSS file. Even if you do that, the game still needs to load the font (which apparently, it accomplishes by making a nigh-invisible 1-pixel HTML div whose font is set to whatever you want to load). I laugh every time I read that, because it doesn't work. I've also seen the guys up on the official forums tell you to "just add another to the CSS file". And if you were going to replace the whole font in the CSS file you wouldn't need a font-changing plugin - plus, that font is used literally everywhere in the game by default so changing it changes everything. But if the game is web-hosted/browser-based the player is very unlikely to have the font installed. It'll work if the font is installed on the machine or if it's been specified in the GameFont.css file. All of those plugins simply set the Window contents bitmap's "fontFace" attribute to whatever font name the user inputs and assumes (wrongly) that this is enough to make it work. Not Yanfly's, not Galv's, not Soulpour's (although to be fair, I haven't really been looking around much).
